Plan for Family Center

mission statement

T.O.U.C.H is a new look on life that will be built on four (4) Foundations. They include: a twenty-four (24) hour Daycare Center, a Youth Center, Transitional Home for men and women; and also a Senior Citizen Facility. We have been working on getting TOUCH up and running for over a year now and I think it's well past the time. However, this can only be done with your help. We need your support! We are trying to build centers in Chicago to help our children, youth and adults. We have volunteered with other non-for-profit organizations such as Misericordia Homes. We have held our own voluntary projects such as our first annual “Clean Out Your Closet” clothing drive, in which clothes was donated to Door Of Hope Shelter in Chicago, IL. We also hold teen talks throughout the year for youth ages 13-18. These teen talks cover various topics including peer pressure, self-esteem, and many more.  We also take the children on field trips. In December we will be taking the children to a pre-Christmas skating jam.

Our crime rate in Chicago is constantly rising and it is our children who are caught in the crossfire. Yes you have been hearing this all year, so it's time to start acting on what people are saying they want to do, or see done. Well we plan on starting programs in as many areas in Chicago as needed. We have our state papers and we are raising money for our 501(C)(3), and money to open a family center which will include the early learning department the youth component and support services for adults in a Chicago-land community. We are ready! This organization will provide opportunities for our youth to see a better life, our children to have a chance to develop in an educational and loving environment and for our adults to have support groups, activities and chances to succeed even after becoming an adult. We will also provide jobs, resources and so much more.

The layout has been done. We are ready and willing to work in any Chicago land area to help unify, and bring services and support to areas that are in need. We want to help. We have qualified people who have various experiences working in different areas of life willing to step up and help. Help us Help your community!

We are asking for you, your church, business, family or friends to donate $50. We need to raise $600,000. The money will be used towards receiving our tax-exempt status as well as our facility. If you are unable to donate the requested amount, anything will help. If you would like to donate more, it would be greatly appreciated.

After donating you will receive a receipt in the mail and you will be listed as a sponsor on our website and in our broucher. The website will be up soon and brouchers shortly following. You will receive notification of all forms of publicity given for your donation.

If you are willing to make a donation please fill out the attached form and send your check or money order (no cash) made payable to T.O.U.C.H. This is an easy way for you to track your donation and for us to send a thank you response and acknowledgements back directly from our organization.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact any member of T.O.U.C.H. All board members information is provided on the next sheet.

Again thank you,

Nina Thomas – TOUCH Chief Executive Officer
